bwildlife is the visual work of emerging wildlife photographer and filmmaker Bilal Shareef, shaped primarily by the forests of the Western Ghats and the wilderness of South India.

The work is driven by a fascination with the natural world and a desire to observe wildlife on its own terms. Through photography and film, Bilal documents animals, landscapes and behaviour while exploring the fragile relationship between species and the habitats they call home.

There is no attempt to make the wild perform.

Only to wait, observe and preserve the moment when it reveals itself.

The wilderness of South India is not one landscape, but a mosaic of forests, mountains, grasslands, rivers and rainforests, each carrying its own character and rhythm.

Through bwildlife, Bilal Shareef explores this extraordinary region through photography, film and field documentation, with the work divided into three geographical chapters: Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Each state offers a different expression of the wild. Together, they form a visual journey through one of India's richest wildlife landscapes.
